Tri Delta’s sisterhood is one of the strongest on campus because of our welcoming traditions and eagerness to support one another. Alpha Psi treats its new members as sisters from the second they step foot on our lawn. Each of our new members are greeted by a “Silver” sister on Bid Day who helps them navigate their first week on campus and makes them comfortable joining a chapter of 230 girls. Shortly after Bid Day our new members are paired with a “Mom,” which is a big sister. Tri Delta “Moms” welcome a new member of Tri Delta into each of their Delta families. In our chapter, we call our "little" our "Dot," which means "daughter of Tri Delta." "Moms" serve as mentors throughout each member’s college career and beyond.
During the week leading up to initiation new members will be paired with an anonymous “Blue” sister who will not reveal herself to a new member until initiation is completed. Delta families enjoy a family brunch the morning after initiation. To always ensure that we are integrating the pledge classes, the girls in the older pledge class will take on a new member as their "Gold." All of these relationships symbolize our Tri Delta colors: silver, gold and blue.
These are just a few of the unique traditions that make Tri Delta memorable for every sister. Because of these embracing first few months in our sisterhood, our sisters easily establish relationships that will last a lifetime.
